SBR builds

Limited, deliberate short-barrel rifle builds — fully documented from receiver to disposition.

Two ways to build

Bringing your own firearm or parts, or want something built to your exact specifications? Both go through us — just with different scope.

Your parts, your build

If you already have the firearm or parts, we offer two services independently: assembly (we physically build your AR-15-style SBR from your supplied parts) and Form 1 filing (we prepare and file your paperwork, handle your on-site photos and fingerprints, and complete the required engraving). Use one or both, depending on what you need done.

Custom build to your specs

As a licensed Class 2 SOT manufacturer, we can also build an SBR from the ground up to your specifications — we source the components, manufacture it under our own license, and transfer the finished firearm to you. This is priced individually based on your components and specs, with all required filing fees included.

Form 1 filing and assembly are each $100, billed separately. Custom builds are priced by components and specs, with filing fees included. Federal tax stamp is $0 as of January 1, 2026. See the full pricing breakdown.

The process

  1. Consultation

We talk through your path — your own parts or a full custom build, rifle and barrel length, and what you're using it for.

  2. Paperwork

Depending on your path, we file a Form 1 for your own parts, or a Form 2 and Form 4 for a custom build we manufacture and transfer to you. Either way, we handle your required photos and fingerprints on site.

  3. The wait

Same ATF approval process as any other NFA filing — weeks, not months, for most filers.

  4. Build & pickup

If we're assembling or custom-building it, we complete the work and required engraving once approved. Log the disposition, and it's ready for you.

Common questions

What's the difference between a Form 1 and a Form 4?

A Form 1 registers an NFA item you're making yourself — like turning your own rifle into an SBR. A Form 4 registers an NFA item that's changing hands, like buying a suppressor or receiving a transfer. If we build a custom SBR for you from scratch as a licensed manufacturer, that's a Form 2 on our end and a Form 4 to transfer it to you. All three go through the same ATF approval process and timeline.
