Learn moreHow it works
-
Consultation
We learn what you're trying to do before recommending anything.
-
Paperwork
We file your Form 4 and walk you through individual vs. trust — and take care of your required photos and fingerprints right here on site, no separate trip needed.
-
The wait
Weeks, not months — and how long depends on how you file. See the current breakdown below.
-
Approval & pickup
When your approval comes through, you come back in, we complete the final transfer, and it's yours.
| Filing type | Range | Median |
|---|---|---|
| Trust | 1–28 days | 8 days |
| Individual | 1–35 days | 3 days |
| Corporate | 2–29 days | 10 days |
We file every case electronically. Paper filings — which we don't use — currently average 30–60 months by comparison. Figures via SilencerShop's NFA wait-time tracker, updated regularly; we'll confirm the current range at your consultation.
“We keep this business small on purpose. Every visit is one-on-one, unhurried, and handled by a responsible person — not a counter clerk. That's not a limitation; it's the point.” Precision NFA Solutions
Common questions
How long does a suppressor actually take?
It depends on how you file — trusts, individuals, and corporations all move at different speeds right now. See the current breakdown in How It Works above, and we'll confirm the exact range for your filing type at your consultation.
Should I use an individual or a trust?
There's no universal right answer — it depends on whether you want to share use of the item and how you're thinking about estate planning. We'll walk through both at your appointment. If you already have a trust, we'll work with it; if not, we'll talk through whether it actually adds value for you.
Do I need to get my own fingerprints and photos done somewhere else?
No — we handle both on site during your appointment. No separate trip to a police station or photo shop needed.
